Chad makes his first start as a Yankee tonight. He will pitch against his former team who he was with in ’06 and ’07. Gaudin was a starter all year for the Padres, and in 19 starts, he was 4-10 with a 5.23 ERA. In four appearances against the A’s, Chad is 0-1 with a massive 27.00 ERA (he only pitched 2.1 innings). Gaudin has made two relief appearances for the Yankees, and has given up two runs in 3.1 innings pitched.

Anderson’s last start was a rare struggle for him. He gave up seven runs and nine hits in five innings pitched against the White Sox on August 14th. Brett has had two starts against the Yankees this year, and in both of them combines, he’s given up nine runs and eighteen hits in  twelve innings pitched. He has a 2.22 ERA in his last eight starts. This season at home, the rookie is 2-4 with a 4.55 ERA.
