Matsui’s knocks two home runs to give Yanks first Fenway “W” this season.
It was a sloppy game for both teams, I could write you an article about what happened in the game, but what’s the point. Instead, I’m going to give you a history lesson.
March 5, 1770:
Player of the Game: Crispus Attucks: 1 Death, American Hero
August 21, 2009:
Boston Massacre II:
Player of the Game: Hideki Matsui: 2 for 6, 2 HR, 7 RBI, R, SO
The Yanks have now won five straight against the Sox, winning their first of the season at Fenway tonight. They are now 32 games over .500 and seven games ahead of Boston in the loss column. The bad news, tonight was a very sloppy game. The pitching was pretty much terrible, but they picked a good night to be terrible.
