Keys to the Game:
  1. Swing Early: Tallet has given up 31 hits (5 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR) in 77 at bats on the first pitch this season. Thats a .403 batting average.
  2. Take Advantage: With RISP, Tallet has opposing hitters hitting at a .298 clip.
  3. Forget the Match-Ups: Lefties are hitting .291 off Tallet which is a lot better than right handed hitters. So, if your Joe Girardi, don’t keep your lefties out of the line-up just because a lefty is on the mound.

I’m really hoping Mitre pulls another rabbit out of his hat because while we have some arms available, I’d like to not have to use them until the 6th or 7th inning if possible.

I think we’ll be able to hit this guy and hit him hard….I just hope the offense continues what it was able to do yesterday afternoon.

Hey! Those are some helpful tips. I hope Girardi listens. I love Sergio. I’m sure everyone knows that. But I really LOVE him. I want him to succeed. I believe in him. I know he can help this team. I hope the offense keeps it up, but I hope Jeter saves that “big hit” for the homestand. It’s going to be exciting! -Virginia
